CHAPS is for anyone who likes gardening and growing vegetables.

The society’s roots can be traced back to the 1940’s when many Churt villagers grew their own vegetables for food. Today members are a mix of talented and experienced gardeners and those who just do it for fun.

We meet regularly in the Village Hall or at Quinnettes and have a programme of events which includes guest speakers, our Spring Summer and Autumn Shows, trips out and the Summer Garden Party.

If you have experience you wish to share, have a desire to learn more about growing or simply want to attend the social functions we’d be delighted for you to join CHAPS.

Membership costs just £10 a year and for that you are able to take part in all of the society’s shows and talks and obtain discounts at several local gardening outlets.
